MUMBAI: Ten days after a 30-year-old pregnant woman from Mira Road died due to an ‘overdose of abortion pills’, six people, including her husband, in-laws and a doctor, have been booked in connection with the death case. No one has been arrested yet.
The woman, who is survived by a 1-year-old daughter, was two months pregnant. She died on May 2 and the police had then filed an accidental death report. After her autopsy released on Saturday stated the cause of death as an overdose of abortion pills, a case was filed against the six at Kashimira police station. The other two accused are medical representatives.
